I read an article touting Georgia as being ranked as the top state in which to business.  We have experienced economic growth in so many ways throughout the state.  Of course, this equals jobs!  It isn’t happening overnight but it is happening.  There are so many employment opportunities in all aspects of the construction and service industries.  Many of these are expanding into the rural area’s which is great news.  The rural area’s were hit really hard during the recession.  I look forward to the future of our wonderful state!  I wanted to share this article from The Brunswick News.

Progress may be slow, but Business Growth has potential

Georgia has been ranked as the top state in which to do business for many reasons, and the evidence is easy to find.

Caterpillar recently built an 850,000 square-foot facility in Athens that will eventually employ nearly 1,400 people. Automotive component manufacturer Häring is investing $54 million into a facility in Hart County that will eventually create more than 800 jobs there.

Thyssenkrupp Elevators recently announced a $200 million investment in Cobb County.  They will employ around 650 people.  A solar cell company is set to create more than 500 jobs in Whitfield County.

These are only a few on the long list of new industries and businesses choosing to do business in Georgia.  This is providing a massive shot in the arm to the state’s thriving economy.  Gov. Nathan Deal announced last week that the state Department of Economic Development Global Commerce Division helped create more than 27,300 jobs during the fiscal year 2018.  This amounted to a $5.56 billion investment.
